How to Make Smarter Decisions About Your Website (and everything you publish online)

If you are currently using Google Analytics to measure the performance of your website and want to move beyond watching the number of visitors and page views, this workshop is for you. Over three morning sessions at the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto we will explore ways to measure and increase the impact of your website, email and social media efforts. In addition you will get two 45-minute one-on-one consulting sessions to make sure you have the data to make better decisions about your website and everything you publish online.

What previous workshop participants say:

“Eric took what was an overwhelming and confusing tool and broke it down into simple steps. I feel like I can use Google Analytics to understand traffic on my website now.”

“It was an eye-opener to me since we have only been using the system to get a couple of straightforward numbers like page views.”

“I went in having no understanding of Google Analytics. I now feel prepared!”

What to Expect

The sessions are a mix of presentation, questions and answers and applying what you have learned.  You won’t have to sit and listen to a canned presentation – I aim to keep you engaged throughout the workshop, with plenty of opportunities to get your questions answered and your learning needs met. Participants in workshops get copies of the speaking notes and slides used in the presentation, as well as handouts such as checklists, resource lists and where to learn more.

In-class sessions are held at the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto, mainly at the 720 Bathurst location, a beautiful brick-and-beam building at Bathurst and Bloor.  Online sessions will require a computer with a good internet connection, a headset with microphone and are best when participants have a webcam.  No particular software is necessary, as GoTo Webinar or Google Hangouts are used for online sessions. Both of these programs work on PCs and Macs, and are relatively easy to set up.

Cancellation policy: No refunds are given if you miss your workshop session. If you let me know in advance that you can’t make it to the session you signed up for, you can attend a subsequent session free of charge.  Spots in the sessions are transferable, so if you need to miss your session, you can send a colleague in your place.
